About SCI | About WSQ | About our Trainers | Student Protection Scheme (SPS)

The Student Protection Scheme serves to protect the international students’ payments if a Private Education Organisation (PEO) is unable to continue its operations. It also protects the student if the PEO fails to pay penalties or to return fees to students arising from the judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.

Student Tuition Fee Insurance

All foreign students must enter into the Standard Foreign Student Contract with the PEO. Students entering into the Standard Foreign Student Contract are covered under the Student Tuition Fee Insurance Scheme.

SCI's Student Tuition Fee Insurance is run by NTUC Income (Insurance Account No. 1000000056). The Student Tuition Fee Insurance indemnifies students for their tuition fees paid in advance to the PEO for the following events when the PEO is unable to continue operations due to insolvency and/or regulatory closure or if the PEO fails to pay penalties or to return fees to students arising from judgment made against it by the Singapore courts, or upon death or total permanent disability of the student.
